What You Need To Know About The Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone

Written by The Bloc Fighter

The Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone (CHAZ), also known as Free Capitol Hill, the Capitol Hill Occupied Protest, and the Capitol Hill Organized Protest (CHOP), was an occupation protest and self-declared autonomous zone in the Capitol Hill neighborhood of Seattle, Washington, United States. The zone, originally covering six city blocks and a park, was established on June 8, 2020 by George Floyd protesters after the Seattle Police Department (SPD) left its East Precinct building, and was cleared of occupants by the Pigs on July 1, 2020 which is today. Local governance in the zone was decentralized, with the goal of creating a community without the Pigs. The major issue was a lack of organization as well as rivaling ideologies with no true agreement on what to do.
The encampment later to be renamed as the Capitol Hill Organized Protest began drawing homeless people from everywhere in the City. We are still learning more details about what was going on in this autonomous Zone, but keep in mind the disinformation and misinformation around what happened is still a very thick fog of confused details. One thing is for sure, the nature of protest is changing and disruptions within the United States of America need to continue. It is essential for the Public Safety of both Humanity and the Environment that the United States of America completely collapse. We need to bankrupt the United States of America by forcing it to spend money at home as well as it is in Policing around the World, the United States of America can not afford the wars it is carrying out around the World and it can not truly contain the collective anger that the American citizens are feeling.
This was an important experiment, many average Citizens of Seattle volunteered to help out in this bold attempt at self governance. What we in the L.A Underground feared was going to happen is exactly what  happened; the Marxists scoffed at this and now several of them have already begun to mock this attempt at self governance as 'Proof that Anarchism does not work' but what we already know is that Anarchists did not have total control over the Zone and the versions of Anarchism that attempted to ideologically run the Capitol Hill Organized Protest were the very types of Anarchism that lack the better advancement in Anarchist theory and practice. What was officially proven was that you can build a society without the Pigs, so long as you truly wish to build a transitional system that moves away from Capitalism, one of the things we can clarify is that the only thing that would have maintained this Zone would have been a Anti-Capitalist commitment, this means that everyone would need to be willing to forever be rid of consumerism and be ready to get involved with community organization. Our solidarity goes out to all who were involved with the actual attempts at organization.
